The presentation of the CDTO Campus took place on November 28. Participants and guests had the opportunity to hear visionaries and partners of CDTO Campus, including Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Minister of for Eurointegration at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Valeriia Ionan, CDTO Campus Director Maria Voitko, Director of the Digital UA Hub GIZ program Julia Shappert, President of the Visa Foundation Graham Macmillan, Vice President and Regional Manager of Visa in Ukraine and Moldova Svitlana Chyrva, President of the East Europe Foundation Viktor Liakh, Technical Institutional Coordinator of the EU4DigitalUA project Maria Gaston Bertran, Member of the European Parliament Eva Maydell, former Minister of Digitalization of Poland, and member of the supervisory board of Digitality Janusz Cieszynski, Co-founder of Digitality Tomasz Richter, Dean of the McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University Maria Kanchan, Head of Cisco's representation in Ukraine Serhii Martyniuk, and Head of Partnerships at AI HOUSE Taras Doroniuk.
Speakers explained why CDTO Campus is strategically important for Ukraine and the opportunities it opens for building a country of the future without queues, bureaucracy, and corruption. The project will become a catalyst for innovation and collaboration among ambitious managers in digital transformation, bringing together the best experts in Ukraine to prepare the next generation of public servants and accelerate digitization.
With the support of partners and donors, over 200 professionals will be able to participate in training free of charge in the first year. The project offers long-term, leadership, and short-term programs that will be taught by top experts in the field of digitalization.
CDTO Campus is the world's first comprehensive training for Chief Digital Transformation Officers (CDTO), designed for both experienced digital project managers and beginners who have decided to change their careers and move from the private sector to the governmental sector.
Upon completion of the training, CDTO Campus students will become engaged participants in digital projects. They will be able to coordinate the development of initiatives involving the operation of various institutions, identify program missions, communicate effectively with partners and colleagues, present ideas convincingly, influence decision-making, and understand administrative processes, including project budgeting.
CDTO Campus is implemented by the East Europe Foundation, funded by Visa Foundation, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ), and supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Digitality GovTech Center of Excellence, under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
