The Offline Workshop on Design Thinking in the Area of Innovations and Digitalization Has Taken Place

Bozhena Kelestyn, the Associate Professor of Warwick Business School and the innovation consultant of the Sprint Valley and the Untapped Pricing, has told what design thinking is about and how to implement innovative solutions with it

The students of the CDTO Campus have participated in the design thinking workshop. The participants have learned how to use this approach to create topical and useful digital products and services.

The studies have been conducted by Bozhena Kelesnyn, the Associate Professor and the Director of the Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation MSc program of Warwick Business School and the ex-Associate Professor of design thinking of The Guardian Masterclasses.

The workshop has begun with the introduction to the principles of design thinking and discussion of the tools and examples of its being used in digital transformation.

The speaker has told about:

  • the components of design thinking: from making the needs of the target audience clear to testing and processing of feedback;
  • application of design thinking by the leading global companies, like Apple, Google, IKEA, IBM, Samsung, etc.;
  • application of the approach by the public sector in the USA and Canada to facilitate the life of the population.

The participants have taken part in interactive exercises focusing on the role of design thinking in digital transformation and leadership.
